R eady for Pick-up. In addition to the "classic" method of removing the
product packs from the pack conveyor by means of a fork lift truck, we also offer fully automated systems. Rekers state-of-the-art drive and control technology together with user programmable stocking software makes it possible to automatically store a full days production.

The slat and the chain type conveyor are designed for vertical and horizontal strapping. It is also possible to integrate shrink and stretch wrapping as well as (ink-jet) marking. Automatic indexing of the product pack to the pack transfer grab by means of a slat conveyor with a variable speed drive and encoder control.

Slat conveyors can handle transportation of both void packs as well as packs on pallets. Designed for a rough working environment, our customers appreciate their resistivity against forklifts. Certain slat conveyor profiles allow vertical strapping of pack during conveying.

Walking beam type conveyors which can handle larger sized packs allow similar handling an they do offer higher operating speeds and load capacities.

Wheel or chain type pallet carousels are usually applied, when different packaging procedures are being applied to the packs. The platforms safely support the packs on their way through the packing line.

The pack transfer grab removes the product pack from the slat conveyor and places it on the lorry. The pack transfer grab can rotate and has parallel opening arms to handle a wide range of pack sizes. The travel and turn drives can be frequency controlled or have servo motors. The loaded lorry is smoothly advanced to its next position by the variable speed chain drive. The lorry train is automatically un-coupled at the end of the chain drive and is ready to be pulled to the stock yard by tractor unit.

The pack manipulator can automatically store a full days production in the (guarded) buffer area. It has a variable speed drive and encoder control. The location of the product packs is user programmable. It is therefore possible to allocate stock zones to various product types. Two independently controlled rotating grabs achieve a fast cycle time and an optimum usage of the storage area.
