It is with deep sadness and great gratitude that we bid farewell to our company founder Karl Rekers; he sadly passed away on the 20th of July 2023 at the age of 93.<\/p>\n

After completing his studies as a mechanical engineer at the Technical University of Hanover, he founded the company \u201cDipl.-Ing. Karl Rekers\u201d in the locksmith\u2019s shop of his parents\u2019 concrete factory together with his late wife Kl\u00e4rchen on the 1st of October 1955.<\/p>\n

With his distinctive inventive spirit and his inexhaustible energy, Karl decisively shaped and developed his company over several decades. He was considered a visionary and pioneer in the development of fully automatic and controlled machines and plants for the building materials industry.<\/p>\n

Today, his company, REKERS GmbH, which has around 200 employees, is a globally active manufacturer of fully automatic production and conveying systems, known in the industry for innovations with subsidiaries in Great Britain and the USA.<\/p>\n

As a passionate family entrepreneur, Karl would still seek to keep contact with his employees far beyond his well-deserved retirement. The interests of his company and its staff were always important to him. His friendliness, his esteem and his open interest made Karl stand out from others.<\/p>\n

In addition, social concerns and voluntary work were also a personal concern of his. Among other things, he was active for many decades as a councillor in his home municipality. In recognition of his services, he was appointed the first honorary citizen of the municipality of Spelle in 1999.<\/p>\n

We are very grateful for Karl\u2019s life\u2019s work and with him we lose a person who will always remain a role model for all of us. Our deepest sympathies go out to all his friends and family.<\/p>\n
